Ceramic coating is a semi-permanent paint protection applied to the clear coat of a vehicle to protect the paint and enhance its gloss. Ceramic coatings are known for their hydrophobic properties, which repel water and shield the paint from road contaminants. Before applying the ceramic coating, the paint must be thoroughly prepared. This includes a deep wash of the vehicle, including the wheels, and paint decontamination to remove all swirls and blemishes from the paint.
The process of paint decontamination involves two stages: chemical decontamination and mechanical decontamination. Chemical decontamination is achieved by applying an iron remover to eliminate any iron particles embedded in the paint. Mechanical decontamination involves using a clay bar/mitt to remove tar or any remaining iron particles that are still stuck to the paint after the chemical decontamination. The next step is paint correction, which is done with a machine polisher and compound to restore the paint to a brand-new appearance, typically achieving a correction level of 75% to 90%.
We offer two types of paint correction: one-step correction and two-step correction. One Step Correction involves correcting the paint once, removing 50% to 70% of swirls and blemishes. Two-step correction includes using a cutting compound followed by a polishing compound, achieving a correction level of 75% to 90%.
Our ceramic coating service includes a deep wash, a hand wash with a soft microfiber mitt, and hand drying with microfiber towels. We also clean the tires, wheel wells, and wheel barrels. Additionally, we dress the tires and all exterior plastics with UV protectant. Interior detailing is also included, which involves vacuuming the carpets, seats, dash, entertainment system, and steering column with a soft bristle brush.
Please note that prices may vary depending on the exterior condition of the vehicle. Excessive mud and dirt may incur an additional charge. All prices for ceramic coating and paint correction depend on the condition of the paint. For pricing information, see below.
